Poorman’s is a small festival, run by two friends. Set in Offaly, the festival found itself running for the sixth time in 2019. The welcoming atmosphere in the festival is created by friends for friends. There’s a magical feeling when you walk into the field and see what two dreamers and their group of friends have created. Community and craic are the heart of what makes Poorman’s a swift growing success.
This project had a low budget so there was a challenge of designing with that in mind. The design for Poorman’s is clear cut lines which are disguised in a home-made feel. It is important that this design is clean against the many colours of the festival. For this episode the deliverables spanned across multiple areas of design, including creating the logo with a customised typeface, branding the merchandise and signage, creating content for social media, photography and logo animation.
